Health and Safety Manager

VertaseFLI is currently looking for a H&S Manager to join our team.
This isn’t your typical H&S Manager role.   Yes, we need to manage our H&S systems and audit/inspect our sites to ensure compliance with our standards, but we want something more. 

We have been working hard on our culture, our ability to be naturally safe – to want to look out for our colleagues, to make sure they Work Safe and go Home Safe.  We want someone to help us with this and continue to build on our safety culture.

We would like the successful candidate to have H&S management experience in earthworks/ working with heavy plant, a relevant professional qualification and extensive knowledge of effective H&S management strategies and best practice.

Remuneration will be commensurate with experience and will include a fully expensed company car or car allowance, pension scheme, generous annual leave (including an opportunity to buy/sell holiday) and membership of a medical benefit scheme.

Junior CAD Technician

VertaseFLI is looking to grow it’s CAD team by taking on a Junior CAD Technician. This role will be based from the office in Portishead however there may be opportunity for travel to sites, therefore a driving licence is required.

Working alongside our existing CAD team the key responsibilities are:

  • Produce high-quality AutoCAD site drawings to assist our site teams
  • Modelling sites using LSS to calculate volumes
  • Creating and updating working drawings for use at all stages of the project, from tender, through the enabling/remediation works to final as-built surveys
  • Assisting our CAD team in the development of in house apps, using ArcGIS Online

We are looking for an enthusiastic learner who is willing to get stuck in and work with a fantastic team.  Whilst it would be great for someone with CAD experience, we are willing to train the right person.

Environmental Engineer

VertaseFLI is looking to recruit an Environmental Engineer to support our wide range of remediation projects located at sites across the UK (including periods staying away from home).

The role shall provide exciting opportunities working for one of the largest and most respected technically qualified remediation contractors in the UK on some of the industry’s most challenging remediation projects.

The successful candidate will have a degree qualification in a relevant subject (and ideally an MSc). One to two years’ experience with a remediation contractor or environmental consultant would be desirable. Other key attributes are a good understanding of specific soil and groundwater remediation technologies, experience in environmental monitoring, site investigation (trial pitting, drilling supervision, logging etc), collating data and writing technical reports. Good communication skills are essential as the role shall typically involve liaising with a wide range of project stakeholders.
