VertaseFLI Winners at the 2012 Brownfield Briefing Awards

Specialist Remediation Contractor VertaseFLI have won their third Brownfield Briefing Award.  The award for Best Public Participation was a joint venture between VertaseFLI, Harrow Estates and Atkins for the excellent communication to the public during the remediation of the former Bayer CropScience Site in Hauxton.  Project Director Steve Edgar accepted the award on behalf of the VertaseFLI team, and said “Everyone worked really hard throughout the project to keep all stakeholders as involved and informed as possible.  Communicating contaminated land risks is notoriously challenging, everyone played their part whether it was our Environmental Engineers talking to individual householders, our Project Manager updating the notice boards and website, or us all together with the Environment Agency, HPA and Local Authority as the specially organised drop-in days.  This is a real testament to the effort put in by all from VertaseFLI, Atkins and Harrow Estates”.
