Environment Agency National Contaminated Land Remediation Framework Success

VertaseFLI are delighted to announce that they have been awarded one of only six places on the Environment Agency’s National Contaminated Land Remediation Contractors Framework.

The framework will run for up to four years from 1st March, 2012 and covers all seven of its regions. The framework will also be available to other government agencies including DEFRA and its associated bodies, local authorities, the Scottish Environmental Protection Agency, the Northern Ireland Environment Agency and the Forestry Commission.

VertaseFLI has significant experience in successfully completing remediation works under Part 2A legislation on behalf of the Environment Agency, including Cottenham Gasworks and Cogdean Elms in Dorset, as well as for a wide range of local authorities. This experience will be invaluable to ensure best value is delivered to the Environment Agency as the framework progresses.

This award builds on our recent success at being appointed to the National Grid framework to provide land remediation services.

Managing Director, Mick Rawdon said “We are extremely pleased that the Environment Agency has recognised the ability of VertaseFLI to deliver technically challenging and sustainable remediation projects. Our depth of experience in delivering cost savings on remediation schemes through value engineering and innovation continue to bring benefit to our clients and we look forward to working alongside the Environment Agency over the next few years.”
